The European School for Young Materials Scientists 2025 aims to bring together young researchers, primarily PhD students, working in exciting fields such as materials science, nanotechnology, nanoscale materials, nanoanalysis, and multiscale materials characterization.
In 2025, special emphasis will be placed on:

materials for electronics, flexible electronics, and sensors, as well as electronic substrates, including bio-based materials such as paper;

bio-based, bio-inspired, and biocompatible materials;

materials for medical applications;
-
advanced material characterization techniques;
-
materials modelling (from atomistic to FEM).
Participants’ contributions should cover all areas—from fundamental research to technology development and market-oriented product innovation.
The school will last two days and will feature two inspiring lectures delivered by leading scientists in the above-mentioned fields. Most importantly, it will involve very active participation from PhD students. The event will provide a live forum combining PhD presentations (oral and poster), in-depth discussions, and numerous opportunities for interaction and networking.
