The tasks of the Doctoral Student Council include:
- 
Participating in the implementation of the University’s objectives; 
- 
Representing the interests of doctoral candidates; 
- 
Representing the doctoral student community outside the University; 
- 
Protecting the rights of doctoral candidates; 
- 
Informing doctoral students about the activities of the Council and the University authorities; 
- 
Initiating self-help and self-education activities for doctoral students; 
- 
Supporting the academic development of doctoral candidates; 
- 
Expressing the opinions of the doctoral student community on matters of interest, either on its own initiative or at the request of the University authorities; 
- 
Taking part in decision-making processes on matters concerning doctoral candidates, in particular: - 
giving opinions on draft decisions proposed by the University’s authorities and organizational units, 
- 
submitting proposals for resolutions and regulations to the appropriate University bodies, 
- 
cooperating with University authorities and units to improve the education system and the social and living conditions of doctoral students.
