Tasks of the Doctoral Student Council

The tasks of the Doctoral Student Council include:

1. Participating in the implementation of the University’s objectives;

2. Representing the interests of doctoral candidates;

3. Representing the doctoral student community outside the University;

4. Protecting the rights of doctoral candidates;

5. Informing doctoral students about the activities of the Council and the University authorities;

6. Initiating self-help and self-education activities for doctoral students;

7. Supporting the academic development of doctoral candidates;

8. Expressing the opinions of the doctoral student community on matters of interest, either on its own initiative or at the request of the University authorities;

9. Taking part in decision-making processes on matters concerning doctoral candidates, in particular:

   • giving opinions on draft decisions proposed by the University’s authorities and organizational units,

   • submitting proposals for resolutions and regulations to the appropriate University bodies,

   • cooperating with University authorities and units to improve the education system and the social and living conditions of doctoral students.
