We are pleased to announce that the Doctoral Council of the Białystok University of Technology has been recognized as a laureate of the prestigious doctoral community competition ProDok 2024 in the Scientific Project category. The prize was awarded for the organization of the 1st International Conference of Young Researchers: Ideas, Research, Training, which took place from September 4th to 6th, 2024 at the Białystok University of Technology.
The conference, organized by the Doctoral Council of BUT in cooperation with the Alliance of Doctoral Students of Technical Universities, brought together young researchers from Poland and abroad. The aim of the event was to promote scientific research, develop practical skills and facilitate the exchange of experiences within the academic disciplines taught at the Doctoral School of the Białystok University of Technology.
A total of 34 participants attended the event, both in person and remotely. The program included 18 presentations and 14 poster sessions, complemented by workshops on English communication skills and cultural differences, essential for successful international collaboration.
Winning the prize in the “Scientific Project” category at the Gala ProDok 2024 is proof of the commitment of the BUT Doctoral Council. The German Doctoral Representative’s ProDok competition honors initiatives that support the development of the doctoral community and encourage young researchers to take action.
This success underscores the critical role of the Doctoral Council in promoting scholarly development and academic integration.
The Council is already planning the next edition of the conference, taking advantage of the experiences and recommendations of the participants and organizers. The aim is to further promote innovations and support young researchers in establishing international scientific collaborations.
