The Narodowe Centrum Nauki (NCN) has opened registration for a training session dedicated to the grant proposal evaluation process. The meeting is informational in nature and lasts 30 minutes.

The training covers the key stages of project evaluation, including:

formal evaluation – verification of the completeness of the proposal and its compliance with the call requirements,
-
substantive (merit-based) evaluation – who evaluates proposals and what criteria experts apply,
-
the structure and significance of the evaluation review form,
-
assessment of the scientific achievements of the project leader and the research team,
-
evaluation of the budget – justification and adequacy of planned costs,
-
assessment of other elements of the proposal, including ethical issues and the Data Management Plan (DMP),
-
differences between individual expert reviews and the final justification of the funding decision.
